Walsh Gymnasium

Address: 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ 07079
Year Opened: 1941
Capacity: 1,316 for basketball and 1,100 for volleyball
The first permanent basketball facility to be built on campus, historic Walsh Gymnasium first opened in 1941 and has been the longtime home of Seton Hall's men's and women's basketball and volleyball programs. While the facility continues to host select men’s basketball contests, it is currently the exclusive location for all Seton Hall women’s basketball home games and volleyball matches.
Seton Hall continues to modernize the venue, while maintaining its historic look and feel. In 2021, the gymnasium was transformed to give student-athletes and fans a better experience. New updates include a brand new centerhung videoboard, two stage-hung videoboards, all new chairback seating throughout the facility, a new sound system, new ceiling-hung baskets, a new floor and new championship banners celebrating previous achievements.
Over the years, Walsh Gym has been host to countless events including post-season games, religious ceremonies, graduations and concerts featuring the likes of Bruce Springsteen.
