SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Members of the Seton Hall men's basketball team and Pirate Blue staff hit the road Friday to make a few special deliveries. Juniors Patrik Auda (Brno, Czech Republic), Haralds Karlis (Riga, Latvia), sophomore Sterling Gibbs (Scotch Plains, N.J.) and freshman Jaren Sina (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) visited long-time season ticket holders in the local area to hand deliver their 2013-14 tickets.

"Our season ticket holders and Pirate Blue donors give us so much support throughout the year. This was a fun way to get out into the community to show our fans how much we appreciate their support," said Bryan Felt, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs.

The players were accompanied by the Pirate mascot for surprise visits to ticket holders at home and at work to express their appreciation before the season gets underway Saturday versus Niagara at Prudential Center. The group visited John and Barbara Murray of Maplewood and Charles Rotondi of South Orange who have held season tickets in excess of 40 years. They also traveled to Summit to see Dan Apruzzese and Dr. Gary Frisoli of Short Hills.

"It is important that we have a personal connection to season ticket holders who have shown us so much support. This was our chance to say thank you to some of our most loyal fans," said Gibbs.

The Pirates packed Walsh Gymnasium on Saturday for their final exhibition of the preseason against Caldwell College. Gibbs led all scorers with 15 points and four assists lifting Seton Hall to a 67-49 victory. Tip off this Saturday against Niagara is slated for 6 p.m. The contest will be televised live nationally on FOX Sports 2.

Season tickets and mini plans are still available and start at $140. For more information, or to purchase tickets today, please contact the Seton Hall Athletic Ticket Office at (973) 275-HALL (4255) or via email at tickets@shu.edu.
