					<description><![CDATA[BOX SCORE     (.pdf)               ITHACA,  N.Y. - Junior Jeremy  Hazell (Harlem, N.Y.)  scored a game-high 33 points as Seton Hall won its second straight road game and improved to 3-0 on the early season with an 89-79 victory at Cornell,    Friday.       Sophomore  Jordan Theodore (Englewood,  N.J.) fired a career-high 20 points and dished out four assists.    Herb Pope (Aliquippa,  Pa.) notched his second straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.    Robert Mitchell (Brooklyn,  N.Y.) also recorded a double-double with 14 and 10   rebounds.       Cornell, playing in their home opener, raised their second consecutive Ivy League championship banner prior to thegame.    The Big Red scored the first eight points of the game on the strength of three-pointers from Chris Wroblewski and RyanWittman. 					<description><![CDATA[SOUTH ORANGE,  N.J. - A last second three-point attempt was off the mark as the Seton Hall women&#39;s basketball team fell to Morgan State, 58-55, in the opening round of the Anaconda Sports &quot;The Rock&quot; SHU Classic onFriday.           Sophomore  Kandice Green (Baltimore,  Md.) led the Pirates (2-1) with 14 points and 16 rebounds for her second straight double-double.   Senior  Letitia Curry (Pennsauken,  N.J.) chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds, while junior  Ebonie Williams (Hagerstown,  Md.) also netted   11.   Corin Adams was the lone player to score double figures for the Bears (2-1), totaling 17   points.   Williams came up court with a chance to tie for the Pirates and time winding down, but her 24-footer was off the   mark. 					<description><![CDATA[LOUISVILLE, Ky.   -  The Seton Hall volleyball team fell to #23 Notre Dame, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-20) in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship on Friday. The Pirates finish the 2009 season with a 12-19 overall    record.                                                 Sophomore  Sarah Osmun (Crystal Lake,  Ill.) led the team with 14 kills, including seven in the final frame. Senior  Allie Matters (North Tonowanda,  N.Y.) recorded 14 digs and finished her double-figure dig streak at 68 matches. Freshman  Olivia Trudeau (Shell Beach,  Calif.) handed out 26 assists and picked up 12   digs.       SHU scored the first three points of the first set, and went ahead 8-4 after an Irish attack error. Notre Dame bounced back with a 9-1 spurt to take a 13-9 edge. After trading the next several points, the Irish rattled off four out of five to pull away, 19-12, and took the set,   25-15. 					<description><![CDATA[      LOUISVILLE, Ky.   -  Senior libero       Allie  Matters (North Tonowanda, N.Y.)  was selected to the All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second straight year at the conference&#39;s award banquet on Thursday    night.       Mattershad   oneof   the finest defensive season in school history, and finished the regular season averaging 5.47 digs per set in BIG EAST play, which ranked her second in the conference. She has broken Seton Hall&#39;s single season and career dig marks this season. In addition, she holds the nation&#39;s longest active double-figure dig streak at 67 consecutive matches. Matters has recorded 20 or more defensive saves on nine occasions on the conference slate including a run of four straight to end the regular season in the Pirates stretch run to the   postseason.       The Pirates will face #23 Notre Dame in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, November 20, at 3:30   p.m.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[SOUTH ORANGE,  N.J. - Seton Hall head volleyball coach  Kris Zeiter  has announced the signing of two recruits for the 2010 season. The Pirates will welcome middle blocker  Hannah Guth (Palatine,  Ill.) and  Alyssa Warren (Joliet,  Ill.) to the squad next    fall.         &quot;This recruiting class is filling some holes that we needed to address,&quot; Zeiter said. &quot;Both come from top high school and club programs and should transition seamlessly into BIG EAST play next   season.&quot;        Guth stands at 6-3 and led the MSL Conference with 82 blocks. She was selected as a Daily Herald All-Area player and named to the All-Conference Team after racking up 159 kills and 39 aces in her senior season at Palatine High School. Guth&#39;s club team, Sky High, is one of the best in the country and finished   10th at the 2009 AAU Junior National Championships in Orlando, Fla. and placed third JVDA Championships in Louisville,   Ky.       &quot;Hannah is going to give us some needed depth in the middle,&quot; said]]></description>
