2006-07:Freshman Robert Mitchell was named A-10 Rookie of the Week a league-high - and Duquesne school record - five times on his way to earning conference Rookie of the Year honors ... was just the second Duke to win the honor joining Bruce Atkins who was named ROW in 1978-79 ... Mitchell’s 16.4 ppg. scoring average (458 points in 28 g.) challenged the school freshman single-season mark of 16.6 set by Wayne Smith in 1998-99 (466 points in 28 g.) ... finished the season ranked ninth nationally among Division I’s top freshman scorers ... led DU in scoring a team-high 14 times ... also had a team-high 24 double-digit games and topped the 20-point mark a team-best 12 times ... saw a streak of three consecutive 20-point games ended with 10 in the win over Temple before bouncing back to score 26 - including 19 in 11 first-half minutes - against Xavier ... was 4-of-4 from the 3-point arc vs. the Musketeers ...
