For Pirate Blue, Burke assists with fundraising efforts directed at augmenting facilities and financing capital projects as well as athletics scholarships. Burke also plays a large role in planning and managing events such as golf outings, dinners, travel engagements and auctions sponsored by Pirate Blue.

In addition, Burke serves as the director of the Pirate Blue Student Club, an on-campus organization which boasts the largest membership base of any such group at Seton Hall, attracting over 700 annual members. He is charged with overseeing fundraising and sponsorship acquisition for the club and presides over their presence at home athletics events and other club initiatives.

Prior to graduation, Burke ascended to the role of head manager for the men's basketball program, holding that title for two seasons as a junior and senior. He earned a bachelor's degree in management and is on track to complete his M.B.A. with a dual concentration in sport management and marketing in May, 2013.
