Kara Lennon ('98) returns to Seton Hall University for her second season as an assistant swimming & diving coach.

Lennon's coaching career includes a wealth of club and recreational experience. Most recently, she headed The Homestead at The Farms program in Mooresville, N.C. In this role, Lennon was in charge of 120 swimmers ages 5-18 and led her team to a third place finish in the league championship.

No stranger to New Jersey, Lennon also has extensive local instructional experience. She has coached in East Hanover, the Kellogg Club in Morristown and Randolph, N.J. Lennon also has experience working with the Madison YMCA, USS and Club Program in New Jersey while providing private lessons for toddlers, high school students and adults training for triathlons.

During her Pirate career, Lennon was a BIG EAST competitor in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle, as well as the 100-yard backstroke. She was also a member of the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Prior to Seton Hall, Lennon was a nationally ranked swimmer for the Academy of St. Elizabeth in Madison, N.J. She captured an individual state title in the 50-yard freestyle and was a member of 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley state champion relay teams.
