Kurt Rotthoff is entering his fourth year with the program. In addition to being a volunteer assistant swim coach, Dr. Rotthoff is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Stillman School of Business. He teaches Money & Banking, Sport Finance, and a seminar on Economics & Liberty to undergraduate students. He also teaches Economic & Finance Principles and Sport Finance to MBA students. 

Rotthoff was a four-year letter winner in swimming at Westminster College from 1998-2002. He was a team Tri-Captain and was named to the All-Conference Team all four seasons. Rotthoff is still a school record holder and holds 19 years of competitive experience.

Rotthoff served as a volunteer assistant swim coach at Clemson University for three years while he was a graduate student. He assisted with strength and conditioning and stroke technique critiquing at Clemson as well as at the University of Texas Swim Camp, where he was served as a coach and counselor for three years.

Rotthoff also has administration experience serving as an administrative assistant to the Westminster College Athletic Director. He assisted in game operations for the college as well as completing the Title IX research and NCAA compliance regulations.

Rotthoff received his Ph.D. from Clemson University in Applied Economics in 2007, where he focused on Financial Economics, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Sport Finance. He also holds a Master's in Economics (Clemson, 2004) and a Bachelor's degree from Westminster College where he had a double major in Economics and Business Administration.
