Kolackovsky and Ehret Represent Women's Swimming at ECAC LCM Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, MD. - Sophomores Kerrie Kolackovsky (Franklin Square, N.Y.) and Jane Ehret (Florida, N.Y.) of the Seton Hall University women's swimming & diving team represented the Pirates at the 2012 ECAC LCM Invitational on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Both swimmers were taking a final shot at meeting 2012 U.S. Olympic Trial Qualifying standards at the 50-meter long course meet, with Ehret swimming the 200-meter butterfly and Kolackovsky competing in the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke.

Ehret's 200-butterfly time of 2:20.20 missed the Olympic qualifying number by 3.71 seconds, and converted to a time in a 25-yard pool came out to 2:03.52, which was 1.1 seconds off her all-time best in the event.

Kolackovsky swam the 100-meter breaststroke in the morning, posting a mark of 1:14.98, shot of the Olympic standard of 1:12.19. Her conversion of 1:05.23 was less than a second off her collegiate best swim of 1:04.74.

She returned to the pool for the 200-meter trial on Thursday evening, where she submitted a time of 2:40.09, with 2:35.99 representing the Olympic cut.

The LCM Invitational was the final competition of the season for the SHU women's swimming & diving team. The Pirates posted a 10th-place finish at the 2012 BIG EAST Championships last weekend in Pittsburgh, Pa., and ended the year with a 6-5 record in dual meets.
