Collectively, the Pirates saved their finest round for last, firing a 4-over-par, 292, in round three on Tuesday. Their 292 is tied for the fourth-lowest round on Tuesday and gives Seton Hall a 23-over-par, 295-300-292 for the tournament. The Pirates finished 35 strokes behind Notre Dame, the team champion, who won the event by 16 strokes at 12-under par.
Hosted by USF, the 33rd annual championship was held on the Resort's Watson Course. Highlighted by fast, firm and wide rolling fairways, a variety of strategically placed bunkers and large greens, the 7,257 yard, par 72 Watson Course, a Signature Design by Tom Watson, is as much about strategy as it is about length.
