The Seton Hall women's basketball team will open its 2012-13 season against NJIT on Friday, Nov. 9, at Walsh Gymnasium.
WBB Non-Conference Schedule Release
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall University women's basketball team released its 2012-13 non-conference schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Pirates will face 13 non-conference foes highlighted by eight home dates at Walsh Gymnasium.

"This is a challenging schedule and I think it will provide our team with a number of early season tests," said Seton Hall head women's basketball coach Anne Donovan. "It is exciting that we will play eight games with the support of our home crowd but we also have several tough road trips with visits to Michigan, Temple and Wake Forest, in addition to the Thanksgiving tournament at Pepperdine."

The season will get underway with the home opener against the NJIT Highlanders on Friday, Nov. 9, at Walsh Gym. Two days later the Pirates will host Lafayette on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Seton Hall embarks on a four-game road trip starting with a road test at Temple University on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Philadelphia, Pa., and just before Thanksgiving break The Hall will take on the University of Michigan on Monday, Nov. 19, in Ann Arbor, Mich.

This season's holiday trip will see the Pirates head to the sunny shores of Malibu, Calif., where they will compete in the Pepperdine University Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 23-24.

Seton Hall will play six of its final seven non-conference contests at home, starting with a game against Siena on Wednesday, Nov. 28. After hosting South Carolina in Walsh Gym on Sunday, Dec. 2, the Pirates will head south to face Wake Forest University on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Winston Salem, N.C.

Mount St. Mary's will take the court at Walsh Gym on Sunday, Dec. 16, to kick off a four-game homestand to conclude the non-conference schedule. Seton Hall will also host New Orleans on Wednesday, Dec. 19, Memphis on Saturday, Dec. 22, and Wofford on Sunday, Dec. 30. Tip-off times for all non-conference games will be announced.

In BIG EAST play, Seton Hall will have home and away games with USF and St. John's University. The Pirates will also host Notre Dame, Marquette, Villanova, Providence, Rutgers and Pittsburgh, with road contests against Syracuse, DePaul, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Louisville and Connecticut. Dates and times for all conference games are to be announced.
