25th Anniversary Celebration ~ 1987 BIG EAST Championship 

This year's outing will offer us the special opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of the 1987 BIG EAST Championship team.  Led by a number of future major leaguers, Seton Hall University captured its first BIG EAST Baseball Championship in 1987.  The Pirates won three-straight games to will the conference tournament, defeating Villanova University, 10-9, in the championship game.  Maurice Vaughn was named the championship's MVP after batting .500 (6-for-12) with seven runs scored and seven RBIs during the title run.  During the dinner portion of the evening, members of the first BIG EAST championship team will be honored for their achievements.
