SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall's Jon Prosinski (Skillman, N.J.) and Giuseppe Papaccio (Nutley, N.J.) were named to College Sports Madness' All-BIG EAST Second Team.
A First Team All-BIG EAST selection and All-NJCBA pick, Prosinski has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll four times this season and earned NJCBA Pitcher of the Week honors on April 16. The right-hander finished the season tied for the BIG EAST lead with nine wins and eighth strikeouts with 73 strikeouts. On March 16 and March 23, Prosinski pitched back-to-back complete-game shutouts against Fordham and Rutgers respectively.
Papaccio started all but two games for the Pirates in 2012 and led the team in at bats, hits, doubles and RBIs while hitting primarily cleanup in Seton Hall's batting order. One of the best defensive short stops in the BIG EAST, he tied for eighth in the BIG EAST with 161 assists. Papaccio finished the season batting .279 with three home runs and was not thrown out in five stolen base attempts.
