SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - As winter fades, giving light to the promise of spring, Seton Hall is in full bloom as renovations continue on a number of athletics facilities.
With the arrival of the new season comes the return of the Seton Hall baseball team to Owen T. Carroll Field. This year, the Pirates will be greeted by a striking new presence outside the outfield wall as the comprehensive new scoreboard has landed on campus and is on schedule to be ready for the 2013 Strike Out Cancer Tournament (March 15-17), SHU's first home weekend of 2013.
The new scoreboard, which will also be utilized for Seton Hall soccer matches, features a 10'x16' LED video board that once fully operational, will greatly enhance the in-game viewing experience for Pirate fans both in attendance and watching live on the Pirate Sports Network.
In the coming months, PSN will feature over 20 exclusive Seton Hall baseball broadcasts, including crucial BIG EAST series matchups with Connecticut, Georgetown, USF and St. John's.
Elsewhere in construction news, upgrades continue to take shape as part of a multi-million dollar project over at the Richie Regan Athletics Center that includes a transformation in the building's structural appearance, as well as completely renovated spaces for the fitness center and Varsity Training Room.
