Pirate Blue Spring Lake Golf Outing
Annual Spring Lake Golf Outing

SPRING LAKE, N.J. - Pirate Blue members, alumni and friends gathered at Spring Lake Golf Club in Spring Lake, NJ on Monday, August 6 for the 26th Annual Pirate Blue Golf Outing.  Over $45,000 was raised to support Seton Hall Athletics and it's over 200 student-athletes.  

This year's event featured over 120 participants for golf and dinner.  Golfers took to the course in the early afternoon which was followed by a cocktail reception and dinner. 

Athletic Director, Patrick Lyons welcomed all of the attendees and thanked them for their past support of Seton Hall Athletics and Pirate Blue, "all of our Pirate Blue members played a critical role in making this past year the most successful fund-raising year in Pirate Blue history.  Moving forward, we'll need all of our members to not only help us financially, but also through overall support in recruiting friends and classmates to get involved, attend events and purchase tickets." 

Head Women's Basketball Coach, Anne Donovan and Head Men's Basketball Coach, Kevin Willard also addressed the crowd to preview their upcoming seasons and promote the support of fans attending both women's and men's home games. 

Later in the evening awards were presented to the day's top golfers.  On the women's side, Sister Patricia Codey took home the prize for Low Net (calloway) with a 75 and Shannon Boyle took home first prize for low gross with an 76.  On the men's side, Ben Alcorn walked away with first place low net (calloway) with a 72 and Pat Borowsky finished in first low gross with a 73. 

Overall the top foursome prize (net) went to Jay Boyle '79, Shannon Boyle, Matt Regan '86 and Patrick Lyons.
