PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall senior Jordan Theodore (Englewood, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The 6-foot point guard averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in guiding the Pirates to a pair of road victories last week. On Wednesday at Dayton, Theodore scored 14 points and dished out a game-high eight assists against just two turnovers. On Friday at Longwood, he scored a career-high 26 points, and in doing so, became the 38th player in Seton Hall history to record more than 1,000 career points. Theodore also dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds in the convincing victory.
Other weekly honors include: West Virginia's Kevin Jones being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Connecticut's Andre Drummond earning BIG EAST Rookie of the Week recognition. Joining Theodore on the Honor Roll are Connecticut's Shabazz Napier, Notre Dame's Jack Cooley, Louisville's Kyle Kuric and Providence's Vincent Council.
Theodore and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 28 when they travel to #1 Syracuse. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
