The Pirate Blue Athletic Fund and the Samuel Dalembert Foundation are teaming up to aid in the Haiti Earthquake Relief efforts. Philadelphia 76ers and former Seton Hall Men's Basketball player, Samuel Dalembert is a native to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Samuel has immediate family members and friends living in the area affected by this devastating earthquake.
During last Friday's 76ers game in Philadelphia, Samuel Dalembert presented a check for $100,000 as his initial contribution to the relief efforts. At Seton Hall's Thursday night BIG EAST match-up against Louisville, Samuel will be continuing in his efforts to raise funds and awareness for the victims of the earthquake.
Representatives from the Samuel Dalembert Foundation will be accepting donations on the concourse level of the Prudential Center throughout the game. Dalembert, the starting center of the 1999-2000 Pirate sweet sixteen team, will also be signing autographs in the Pirate's Cove prior to tip-off.
Please consider making a donation to the Samuel Dalembert Foundation. Your support in this time of dire need for the people of Haiti and the extended Seton Hall family is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and please keep Haiti and its people in your thoughts and prayers.
