SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer team saw its season come to a close on Saturday night with a 2-0 loss on at Owen T. Carroll Field.  The Pirates finish the year at 4-10-3 overall and 1-7-3 in the BIG EAST.

The Mountaineers (7-4-6, 6-3-2) caught an early break in taking a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute.  Seton Hall senior keeper Paul McHenry (Ephrata, Pa.) came out to challenge a West Virginia attacker, and the resulting loose ball was controlled by Moeryhan Doue for an easy shot at point blank range.

West Virginia scored its second goal on a penalty kick by Abel Sebele after having an attacker pulled down in the box.

The Pirates' offense struggled to get things going throughout the game, allowing the Mountaineers to finish with a 19-8 shot advantage.  McHenry had seven saves in his final game for the Hall, while Zach Johnson made four stops for West Virginia on his way to the shutout victory.

Juniors Michael Dietze (Ramsey, N.J.) and Brayan Martinez (West Orange, N.J.) and sophomore Giovanni Zammiello (Randolph, N.J.) paced the Pirates with two shots each.  Doue launched a game-high six for the Mountaineers.

Marko Ciklic (Boonton, N.J.), Kyle Guiliana (Lincoln Park, N.J.), McHenry and Erik Vendola (Sparta, N.J.) were honored in Senior Night ceremonies at halftime.
