PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore Meghan Matusiak (Winfield, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season after a strong performance against Rutgers on Saturday.

The left-handed opposite hitter continued her strong sophomore campaign with 15 kills with just two errors on a team-high 32 attempts (for a .406 attack percentage) in a sweep over the in-state rival Scarlet Knights. Matusiak also tied a career-best with three service aces and added five digs in arguably the Pirates best match of the season.

USF's Marcela Gurgel was tabbed as BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Jordanne Scott from Cincinnati garnered Freshman of the Week honors.
