NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Courtney Kilarski (Roseville, Calif.) played and won a qualifying match on the opening day of the ITA East Regionals, hosted by Yale. Teammate Lizzie Verow (Barnt Green, England) will play in the main draw as well as compete with Kilarski in the doubles bracket tomorrow.

Kilarski bested the number-two seeded Ina Kauppila from Boston College in straight sets (7-6 (9), 6-1).

Play continues at the ITA Regionals throughout the weekend.
