Former Seton Hall Great Andre Barrett Signs with FC Barcelona

– Former Seton Hall standout Andre Barrett has signed a two-year contract to play basketball for FC Barcelona, the club announced Wednesday.

 

Since his graduation from Seton Hall, Barrett has spent four seasons with six different teams in the NBA.  The Bronx, N.Y. native played a total of 67 games for Houston, Orlando, Phoenix, Toronto, Chicago and the Los Angeles Clippers.  Barrett has also played for Florida, Bakersfield and Austin in the National Basketball Developmental League.

 

One of the greatest players in Seton Hall history, Barrett currently ranks seventh on the Pirates’ all-time scoring list with 1,861 career points.  Seton Hall’s all-time leader in minutes played, he ranks second in career assists and starts, third in three-point field goals made, sixth in steals and ninth in both field goals made and free-throw percentage.  His senior year, he earned First Team All-BIG EAST and All-Metropolitan honors, was named Seton Hall’s Co-Male Athlete of the Year and won the Haggerty Award as the top player in the metropolitan area.  During his tenure, the 5-foot-11 point guard guided Seton Hall to two NIT appearances and the second round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament.
