Mike Kowalsky was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics Communications in August 2011 after spending five years as Assistant Director. He serves as the primary media contact for the Pirates' women's basketball, volleyball, and softball programs.

Kowalsky spent two years as an intern at Seton Hall before being retained for a full-time position in 2008. He served as the primary media contact for men's soccer, cross country, and tennis programs before being elevated.

Since arriving in South Orange, Kowalsky has volunteered at the 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional in East Rutherford, N.J. and was a media coordinator at the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional in Newark, N.J. He is also an active member of CoSIDA.

Kowalsky graduated with a degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland in 2006, where he served as an event manager and sports information assistant.

A native of Sauquoit, N.Y., he now resides East Rutherford, N.J. with his fiancée Stephanie. They have two cats, London and Chelsea.
