Making her first appearance in the poll, Sher received a #16 ranking in the region and is one of four BIG EAST players among the most recent selections.
The recognition comes on the heels of a second consecutive 20-win season for Sher that included wins in 10 of her last 11 singles contests. While playing the entire season in the top singles slot for the Pirates, she compiled an 8-1 record against BIG EAST opponents in dual match competition and helped lead SHU to its first BIG EAST Championship appearance since 2007.
In her second year, the Hong Kong native solidified her spot among the best collegiate players in the region by posting a 4-1 record against opponents then ranked either regionally or nationally. Sher's exploits included straight-set wins over Syracuse's Emily Harman (#108 - National) and Lauren Greco of Georgetown (#7 - Atlantic) as well as three-set triumphs against Vanessa Petrini of Rutgers (#5 - Northeast) and Fordham's Amy Simidian (#16 - Northeast).
Harman (#3) and Petrini (#20) join Sher in the current regional rankings with Nevena Selakovic of St. John's rounding out the BIG EAST contingent and coming in at #13.
