PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference announced the 2007-08 home and away opponents for men's basketball for each team in the 16-school league on Friday. The nation’s largest athletic conference will feature a new 18-game schedule with each team playing three teams twice and 12 teams once. Seton Hall’s schedule will feature a home-and-home series against local rival Rutgers, as well as Marquette and USF.

This season Seton Hall will play their home games in the new Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.  The Pirates will play host in the new arena to Cincinnati, Connecticut, DePaul, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, Rutgers, USF and Syracuse.  Seton Hall did not play DePaul or Syracuse last season under the former configuration.  The new format allows every team to play each other at least once.

The Pirates will take to the road to face Georgetown, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rutgers, St. John’s, USF, Villanova and West Virginia.

Per last season, the conference will again feature a one-division format, with the league’s top 12 teams advancing to the BIG EAST Championship at
Madison Square Garden.

Dates and times for the conference contests, as well as Seton Hall’s non-conference schedule, will be announced at a later date.

Ticket information for the upcoming Seton Hall men’s basketball season is available by calling (973) 275-HALL.
