SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - A.J. Rusbarsky (Freehold, N.J.) drove home Chris Spagnuolo (Tabernacle, N.J.) with a one-out bases loaded sacrifice-fly to right field in the 11th inning to complete the comeback as the Seton Hall baseball team defeated Stony Brook, 5-4, Tuesday afternoon at Owen T. Carroll Field.  With the win, the Pirates pick up their season-high third straight win, and improve to 5-7.

Spagnuolo led off the 11th with a walk followed by Chris Fontenelli (Toms River, N.J.) being hit-by-a-pitch.  Scott Kalamar (Bethlehem, Pa.) successfully bunted them each over one base, and Will Walsh (New Milford, N.J.) was intentionally walked paving the way for Rusbarsky.

Stony Brook (2-7) broke the first tie in extra-innings when Chad Marshall was hit-by-a-pitch with bases loaded and Tanner Nivins hit a sacrifice-fly to center field, giving their team a, 4-2, lead in the 10th inning, however the Pirates battled right back to tie the game for the third time of the day.

Walsh led off with a walk and Rusbarsky reached on a fielding error by Seawolves' shortstop Travis Janikowski.  With one-out, Frank Esposito (Staten Island, N.Y.) belted a two-run double into left field.

The Pirates made their first comeback to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.  As Kalamar led off with a walk, becoming just the second Pirate to reach base at the time, Walsh successfully bunted him to second base.  Two batters later, Bobby Migliazza (Stamford, Conn.) delivered a run-scoring triple to tie the game at one.

Stony Brook broke the, 1-1, tie in the top of the eighth when John Adronetto scored from second base on a sacrifice bunt by Pat Cantwell.  After Michael Stephan doubled to lead off the inning, Cantwell bunted the ball moving pinch-runner Adornetto to third base, however as second baseman Fontenelli fielded the throw, Cantwell collided with the fielder popping the ball free.  Cantwell was called out, and both players remained in the game.

In the bottom half of the inning Seton Hall made sure the deficit would not stick when Rusbarsky drove home Walsh with an RBI double down the left field line.

Walsh, Rusbarsky, Migliazza, Esposito, Fontenelli, and Ryan Parker (Midlothian, Va.) each had a hit to lead the Pirate offense.  Esposito had two RBI while Walsh scored two runs.

Mike Genovese (Livingston, N.J.) (1-0) earned the victory tossing two scoreless innings in relief, striking out one.  Chris Maier (0-1) took the loss surrendering a run with two walks in the 0.2 innings of relief work.

The Pirates return to Owen T. Carroll Field Wednesday afternoon when they welcome Manhattan.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
